Introduction to AIX 4.1 System Administration




Course Aims
By the end of this course you will be able to configure AIX by setting the system name, date and time, adding and removing users, adding and removing terminals, adding and removing printers. You will also be able to maintain AIX by sorting out basic user problems, taking regular backups and handling disk space.
Assumed Knowledge
Readers should have a good basic understanding of AIX, gained through AIX: The Essentials course, and at least three months practical experience. Knowledge of a standard AIX editor will be required.
Course Audience
Experienced support staff or users who have some "hands on" experience with a UNIX based system, or who have used another type of system and have attended suitable pre-training.
